Switchback LED Bulbs – White DRLs, Amber Turn Signals
SEALIGHT switchback LED bulbs combine white DRL or parking light output with an amber turn signal in one compatible front socket. The bulb stays white during normal use and flashes amber when the turn signal is active. It returns to white after the signal is canceled. Choose from compatible 3157-family and 7443-family sizes. Check the original bulb number, socket wiring and contact layout before ordering.

Switchback LED Bulbs Buying Guide
What Is a Switchback LED Bulb?
A switchback LED bulb produces two colors from one bulb. It normally shows white light for the DRL or parking light. It switches to flashing amber when the turn signal is activated.
The vehicle socket must support both functions. This collection contains replacement bulbs, not switchback LED strips or complete light assemblies.
Where Are Switchback LED Bulbs Used?
Different switchback bulbs are made for different exterior light positions.
Lighting Position | Typical Switchback Function |
|---|---|
Front turn signal | Changes from steady white to flashing amber |
DRL or parking light | Shows white normally and amber while signaling |
Fog light | Switches between white and yellow |
Headlight | Provides two selectable colors in certain applications |
SEALIGHT currently offers LED turn signal bulbs and LED DRL bulbs with switchback functions in this collection. H11 switchback LED bulbs, switchback LED headlights and LED switchback fog lights are not currently included. SEALIGHT is continuing to develop more switchback bulb options.

Check these details before ordering:
Bulb number: Match the number printed on the original bulb.
Lighting position: Confirm that the position combines a front turn signal with a DRL or parking light.
Socket contacts: Check whether the vehicle uses a standard or CK-style socket.
Dual-function wiring: Make sure the socket supports white and amber output.
Installation space: Confirm that the LED body fits inside the housing.
Electrical compatibility: Check for built-in load support if the vehicle may develop hyperflash.
3157 and 7443 bulbs are not interchangeable. Fitment can also change by vehicle year, model, trim and factory lighting package. Use the Automotive Bulb Finder to confirm the correct size.

FAQs
Switchback LEDs may be legal when used in the correct front lighting position. In the United States, front turn signals must flash amber. State laws and inspection rules may vary.
Some vehicles need added load support to prevent hyperflash. Selected SEALIGHT switchback LED turn signal bulbs include a built-in resistor or driver. Other vehicles may need an external resistor or LED-compatible flasher relay.
Do not use a switchback LED bulb when the size, contacts or wiring do not match. It is also unsuitable for a single-function socket or a position that requires a different light color.
