Q1. Will this 1157 go into a 1156 holder?
A1. No. 1157 rides on offset locating pins while 1156 uses straight ones, so the two are not a match; this bulb covers 1157, 2057, 2357, 7528 and BA15D sockets.
Q2. Does it work in a CK-wired socket?
A2. Yes. The non-polarity driver lights the same on a standard or CK socket, so a reversed contact still gives both levels without any rewiring of the plug.
Q3. Will both levels work?
A3. Yes, in a 1157 holder: the two live contacts feed the dim and bright chips. A 1156 holder has one, so only one level lights.
Q4. Will it trigger a message or a fast flash?
A4. Usually not at 30W per pair; if the flasher runs fast or the dash reports the lamp, support ships a free decoder for that circuit.
