About 9006 LED Headlight Bulbs
What is a 9006/HB4 bulb?
9006 and HB4 are two names for the same single-beam automotive bulb specification. A standard 9006 halogen bulb uses a right-angle connector and a keyed locking base. Depending on the vehicle, it may be installed as a low-beam headlight or fog light.
You can identify the required bulb by checking the code printed on the original bulb, reviewing the owner’s manual or entering the vehicle information into the SEALIGHT Bulb Finder.
9006 low-beam headlights and fog lights
When used as a low beam, a 9006 LED headlight bulb should produce controlled forward illumination with an even beam and limited upward scatter. Correct LED-chip position and bulb orientation help the vehicle’s reflector or projector direct light onto the road.
When used as a fog light, the 9006 bulb is mounted lower on the vehicle and is intended to illuminate the road close to the front bumper. Dedicated LED fog light bulbs generally prioritize broad, low illumination rather than long-distance projection.
9006 vs. 9005 bulbs
9006/HB4 and 9005/HB3 bulbs have a similar appearance, but they are not direct replacements for each other. Their locking tabs, connectors and common lighting applications differ. The 9006 is commonly used for low beams or fog lights, while the 9005 bulb is commonly used for high beams.
Do not modify the locking tabs or connector to force an incompatible bulb into the housing. Some vehicles use a 9005 high beam and 9006 low beam together, in which case a matched combination kit may be suitable after fitment is confirmed.

Why Choose SEALIGHT 9006/HB4 LED Bulbs?
Focused road visibility: SEALIGHT 9006/HB4 headlight bulbs use compact, two-sided light-source layouts designed to place the LEDs close to the original halogen filament position. This helps the existing reflector or projector control the beam. Final performance still depends on the headlight housing, bulb orientation and headlight aim.
Options for headlights and fog lights: The collection includes 9006 LED headlight bulbs, dedicated white and yellow fog light bulbs and 9005/9006 combination kits. Select a product according to its intended lighting position rather than choosing only by bulb size or advertised output.
Cooling designed for different needs: SEALIGHT series use different thermal-management systems, including fanless aluminum heat sinks, built-in fans, copper substrates and heat pipes. Higher-output bulbs may require more installation space and airflow, while fanless designs remove moving cooling components.
Plug-and-play installation: Many SEALIGHT 9006 LED bulbs connect to the original HB4 socket without cutting factory wiring. Installation difficulty varies by vehicle, so check the available space, retaining system, dust-cover clearance and product dimensions before ordering.
Weather-resistant construction: Available products use sealed housings with product-specific IP67 or IP68 ratings. Because the rating differs between series, refer to the exact product specifications instead of applying one waterproof rating to every 9006 bulb.
CANBUS compatibility support: Some vehicles monitor bulb resistance or use pulse-width-modulated lighting circuits. These systems may cause an LED bulb to flicker, display a dashboard warning or shut off after startup. Compatibility varies by vehicle and product series; certain applications may require a CANBUS decoder or anti-flicker resistor.
Find the Right 9006/HB4 Bulbs for Your Vehicle
Confirm whether your vehicle uses 9006/HB4 for the low beam or fog light, then compare compatible products based on installation space, cooling design, color temperature and driving needs. Use the vehicle bulb lookup tool before placing your order.
