BEST ANSWER LED lights have a gas filament which takes more then a few minutes to cool down, but however should not be touched with your hands without using a glove do to the oil moisture that could ruin the bulb...

BEST ANSWER The sealight S1 9004/HB1 works just fine in my 1996-1997 Dodge Ram 1500. Didn't need anything additional to make it work.
